Music in the park and beignets

Healdsburg Plaza summer music

Healdsburg Plaza; Beignets in a bag; and happy Abby who also loved the music

The Nosy Parker family mustered up the energy to attend a free summer concert in the park tonight. One of Mama’s favorite musicians, Charlie Musselwhite, was performing at Healdsburg Plaza.

We really aren’t into crowds so we almost didn’t go, and then we drove around hunting for parking for so long we almost gave up — but in the end, we found a spot just a block from the music and a sweet couple shared a bench with us. The gyro sandwiches had come highly recommended to us so we had that for dinner, followed by super fresh and simply wonderful beignets made by a local cafe called The Parish! If you’re not familiar with beignets, they’re a special New Orleans style donut covered in powdered sugar and they’re SO GOOD!!!!

Mama and me in HealdsburgToday’s #OneGoodThing was enjoying live music in the park on a nice warm evening and eating fresh beignets! I especially loved seeing how happy Mama was enjoying the blues!

Day 243 of 366.

What was your #OneGoodThing today? Please share in the comments!
