Jewish penicillin

matzoh ball soupA nasty cold bug hit our house hard several days ago. We’ve gone through countless tissue boxes and cups of tea with honey.

Today I was vertical long enough to make us some matzoh ball soup — and it was so worth the effort! There’s something innately healing and comforting about matzoh ball soup. The broth was also great on our throats. I added Instant Pot chicken and baby carrots to the soup and it was perfection.

Today’s #OneGoodThing was multiple delicious bowls of homemade matzoh ball soup, a.k.a. Jewish penicillin.

Day 16 of 365.

1 year ago today: Apricot chocolate chip cookies
