That severe cold I was battling for a while turned into pneumonia.
I feel like shit. It wasn’t a great day, but the best part was cheek-to-cheek cuddles from my sweet Paisley. She knew I was miserable and snuggled under the blankets with me, cuddling right up against my face.
The day ended in the Emergency Room, where they set me up on a breathing machine. It had been feeling like my lungs were filled with home insulation, which made breathing very difficult. After a couple rounds on the machine, I was finally able to breathe without the terrible wheezing.
Today’s #OneGoodThing was cheek cuddles from Paisley and a breathing machine! Also, our deepest gratitude goes out to our neighbor Lili and our friend Kelley who drove us to/from the ER. When the caregiver (and only driver) in the house is sick, things get rough.
Day 24 of 365.

Praying you get over the pneumonia soon. It is wonderful to have good neighbor’s and friends to help out. Take care.

Thanks Michele! Yes, I’m so thankful for the help of our friends. We otherwise would have had to take Uber to the ER – not fun.

Thanks Alyssa! The nebulizer treatment seemed to help. Plus they sent me home with a spacer for my inhaler to make it more effective. Hopefully I won’t have to return for any more nebulizer treatments!

That’s a tough break. It’s good you have folks who will rally around for you, and Paisley who understands you’re not well.

Thanks Yvonne! Paisley has been an incredible comfort to both Mama and me (we’re both sick right now) and I’m so thankful for the friends who helped us with rides! Hope you’re well!

I’m well, thanks. I hope the new administration in your country doesn’t create problems for you and Jude, in regards to your health care.
