My road to pixie

Clockwise from top L: Before shots, Today’s new do, Inspiration

About three months ago, I lobbed off a foot of hair and transformed my look from long to short. My head felt lighter and it helped my chronic migraines. I loved the lighter feel so much, I decided I was ready for even shorter hair. Today was the big day.

I found a bunch of photos of cuts I liked online; I asked for a style similar to Ginnifer Goodwin’s pixie cut (like in the bottom left photo).

I absolutely adore how this super short cut feels, though I’m still getting used to how my face looks without hair framing it. I was deeply attached my long locks, even though they weren’t good for me. In some ways, I think this shorter, no-nonsense do is more akin to my personality. It feels more me. I just need to own it.

Today’s #OneGoodThing was my new pixie haircut!

Day 104 of 365. And Day 470 in a row!
