Growing before our very eyes

Our first watermelon – only 4 days from L to R!

We’re growing watermelon in our garden this year and it is amazing to watch as it gets bigger each day!

Mama and I discovered the first tiny little melon last week — and after just four days it had quadrupled to the size of a small egg! That’s Mama’s thumb in the photos to give you a feel for the size of these baby melons. Full size is apparently about 8 to 10 pounds!

We’re monitoring three melons so far, and they’re growing so fast that we now go out in the mornings and evening to see the progress. We’ve never grown watermelon before so we are enjoying this experiment!

Today’s #OneGoodThing was watching the watermelon grow before our very eyes!

Day 184 of 365. And Day 547 in a row!

1 year ago today: A clean desk at last!
