Colorful shocker

A potted grass we’ve had in our backyard for many years suddenly produced these stunning, vibrant flowers for the first time.

Mama and I only ever remember seeing green reeds in the past. I love the way the bright pink, deep navy, and pops of yellow in the blooms are highlighted against the green. These were a beautiful surprise.

Today’s #OneGoodThing was enjoying these colorful shockers with Mama.

Day 94 of 365. And Day 825 in a row (here’s the first 366 & the following 365)!

  1. Oh, I think we had that in South Australia. They belong to the Billbergia family. Aren’t the colours wonderful!

Google Billbergia images to see some of the family your little beauty lives in!
